Tabikage is a Japan-based destination management company built around one idea: you should be able to hand us a brief and get it handled with real care, not just a quote back. We run trips on our own guide roster in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka, host groups in two venues of our own, and plan and schedule everything in-house from Tokyo. The team behind Tabikage has run 9,000+ trips across Japan since 2017, guiding every one of them hands-on, from a couple's first week in Japan to the regions well beyond the classic circuit.

What We Do

Every itinerary is built from experiences we arrange directly.

Culinary Japan

Food is where Japan opens up fastest, whether that's a kaiseki dinner in a centuries-old dining room or an early morning walk through a working fish market. We build tastings, brewery visits, and hands-on cooking sessions around what a group actually wants to eat, not a fixed menu.

Culture & Tradition

A private tea ceremony with a maiko in Kyoto, a sumo stable visit followed by chanko nabe, a morning at a master-led craft workshop: these take real relationships on the ground to arrange well.

On the Ground

Private transport, luggage forwarding between cities, and licensed English-speaking guides from our own roster, trained and scheduled in-house. The parts that should be invisible when they’re done right.

Meetings & Incentives

Private dinners, incentive programs, off-site meetings, and market research trips, all run through our own and partner venues across Japan.

Shore Excursions

Private days ashore for cruise guests calling at Yokohama, Tokyo, Kobe, and Osaka, run by the same guides who run our land trips. We keep groups small, with additional guides brought in for larger parties, and a hard rule on timing: your clients are back at the ship 90 minutes before departure. For turnaround days in Tokyo, we can host private events in venues of our own.

For Corporate & Incentive-Travel Planners

Meetings & Incentives in Japan

Off-site meetings and incentive travel for corporate teams in Japan: a private room through our own and partner venues, run start to finish by one team, with an evening program built around it.

A Destination Nobody Has to Defend

Whoever picks the destination gets asked about it later, by a boss or a board. Japan's safety record and its reputation make that an easy conversation, not a hard one.

One Team, Start to Finish

One point of contact from the first email to the last day on the ground. The same team that plans it runs it, with guides already on staff, not booked last minute for the week everyone else wants too.

Beyond the Golden Route

Winners remember what they can't book themselves. The same regional itineraries below, built for a group instead of a couple: Kyushu's hot springs and street food, Takayama's old town, Hokkaido coast to table.

Evening Programs & Private Venues

A private dinner in a room like the one above, a toast after a full day together, a whole venue closed out just for the group. Welcome and farewell dinners, private buyouts, built around what the group actually wants that night.

Market Research Trips

For teams scoping the Japan market before they commit: a guide, private transport, and a schedule built entirely around the places your team wants to see.

Sample Itineraries

A few examples of what we build. Every trip is designed around the group in front of us, these are starting points, not fixed packages. No pricing shown; full itinerary and pricing available on request.

How It Works

What actually happens after you send us a brief.

  1. 01

Send us the brief. Group size, dates, interests, budget range if you have one. As little or as much detail as you have at this stage is fine.

  2. 02

We build a real itinerary, not a template. Every day is built around your client's actual interests and the season, drawing on the services and partners we work with directly, from the Tokyo/Kyoto/Osaka core to the regions beyond.

  3. 03

You get a priced proposal, and we refine it together: a clear day-by-day structure, no hidden line items, ready to present to your client, then we adjust pace, swap experiences, and tighten the budget until it's right.

  4. 04

We run it. Once it's confirmed, our team handles execution on the ground, so you don't have to.
